OK, this utility didn’t come with the phone, but I downloaded it from the Microsoft Apps Marketplace for a mere two dollars. It’s called Trackah and it uses the GPS chip in the phone to track your journey – car, bus, walking etc. The result is a file that when clicked on either on the phone or on a desktop PC, launches Google Earth and shows your journey.
What’s more, it shows how many miles covered, average speed, altitude and - sorry officer! – maximum speed during the trip. It can also be used as a simple speedometer, as an altimeter, or act as a stopwatch.
